Whangamata Marina
WELCOME TO THE BEST LITTLE MARINA IN NZ

Kia Ora!
Construction began in September 2008, with our first boat berthing in November 2009. One of only three marinas on the Coromandel Peninsula, we primarily cater to recreational vessels and sit in a safe, sheltered location inside the Whangamata Harbour. With a solid rock breakwater on three sides, you can be confident your boat is secure in all weather conditions.
The marina offers excellent access to world-class recreational and game fishing, diving, and cruising destinations. Stunning offshore locations such as Mayor Island, the prehistoric Alderman Islands, and the clear-water, white-sand beaches of Slipper Island are all only a short journey away.
We have 209 berths ranging from 10.5m to 20m, each with full-length fingers, spacious fairways, and individual pedestals providing water and power.
There’s a 24-hour fuel jetty supplying GOfuel diesel, evening security patrols, summer coffee and food, and plenty of free parking for visitors and berth holders.
Our friendly, professional management team operates from the Marina Office and is always happy to assist.
Maintenance is provided by experienced local contractors, and nightly patrols of the Hardstand and carpark ensure your pride and joy remains safe.
In summer, we also welcome campervans (4:30pm–7:30am) and provide wash-down facilities for trailer boats after a day on the water.
